President

  • Shall be chief executive officer.
  • Shall preside at all meetings.
  • Shall be an ex-officio member of all committees.
  • Shall vote only in the event of a tie.
  • Shall propose appointments for all vacant positions to the executive board for approval.
  • Shall oversee all events, communications, and club development within the university.
  • Shall call special meetings when necessary.
  • Shall not be chief executive officer of another student organization or council.

Vice President of Internal Affairs

  • Shall assume the duties of the president in his/her absence.
  • Shall assist the President in the execution of his/her duties.
  • Shall oversee all events, communication, and club development within the University.
  • Shall be the MISSA ISG Representative to the United Business Student Senate (UBSS).
  • Shall attend UBSS meetings and report to the Executive Board information that affects the membership and the functioning of the club.
  • Shall report on MISSA ISG weekly status in accordance with the By-laws of the UBSS.

 

Vice President of External Affairs

Shall assume the duties of the president in his/her absence.

  • Shall be responsible for increasing ISG membership,
  • Shall assist the President in the execution of his/her duties.
  • Shall oversee all events, communication, and club development outside of the University.
  • Shall maintain contacts of alumni contacts.
  • Shall coordinate all alumni related club events.
  • Shall be the MISSA ISG representative to the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association.
  • Shall coordinate the Job Shadow and Mock Interview Program.
  • Shall be the student liaison with the Information Security Audit and Control Association.
  • Shall provide status of upcoming ISACA related events.
  • Shall attend ISACA meetings and report to the Executive Board information that affects the functioning of the club.
  • Shall be responsible for all correspondence with the participating firms and/or speakers.

 

Secretary

  • Shall attend all board meetings.
  • Shall be responsible for recording the minutes at each board meeting.
  • Shall distribute minutes to each board member after meetings and submit for approval at the start of the next meeting.
  • Shall maintain an archive of documents related to MISSA ISG operations and minutes.
  • Shall assist with coordinating the annual calendar.

Chief Finance Officer

  • Shall be custodian of all organizational funds, including ITC.
  • Shall have the power to sign all checks drawn upon the funds of the club.
  • Shall ensure that a written statement of the financial position of the club is presented at each regularly scheduled executive board meeting to the president and vice president.
  • Shall see that the books are closed and audited at the end of each quarter.
  • Shall provide a report of the years finances to the next academic year’s Director of Finance.
  • Shall maintain a record of all acquired inventories of the club.
  • Shall be responsible for the proper storage and tracking of club inventories.
  • Shall oversee and report all purchases made with club funds.
  • Shall maintain a schedule of petty cash disbursements. 

     

Chief Information Officer

  • Shall maintain an up-to-date copy of the clubs By-laws and supporting regulation and other campus-wide regulations that affect the club.
  • Shall take the minutes and record attendance at all club meetings; shall be ultimately responsible for a record of all minutes recorded.
  • Shall be responsible for all club records, except financial and committee records.
  • Shall oversee the quarterly newsletter.
  • Shall obtain mail from the Office of Student Life (OSL) and the College of Business Administration.
  • Shall distribute the mail among the appropriate officers.
  • Shall reserve rooms for meetings at the Office of Student Life (OSL).
  • Shall be responsible for all correspondence involving Guest Speaker Programs and workshops.
  • Shall maintain database of all MISSA ISG members’ information.
  • Shall be responsible for the MISSA ISG and ITC Websites, including the design, functionality, and maintenance of the site.
  • Shall report to the executive board on website progress whenever problems are encountered or enhancements have been made to the site. Such progress reports must be made at least once per quarter.
  • Shall ensure that the MISSA ISG server is up and running (no down time) when users access the site.
  • Shall maintain the security on the MISSA ISG site; ie. patching as necessary to prevent vulnerabilities that might compromise the server.
  • Shall monitor the forums within the site to ensure exchanges within the forums do not violate University policies. 
 

Director of Marketing

  • Shall advertise all club activities, including General Membership meetings.
  • Shall inform CIS Department faculty of all club activities, including General Membership meetings.
  • Shall place advertisements in the Poly Post and other publications.
  • Shall post all information that is pertinent and helpful to club members in the MISSA ISG display case.
  • Shall create, maintain and submit a calendar of events, which shall be yearly and quarterly, to both the executive board and the members.

 

Director of Events

  • Shall coordinate interclub activities.
  • Shall coordinate classroom and club fairs visits by all MISSA ISG officers.
  • Shall plan and oversee all club social events.
  • Shall coordinate and oversee all club community service activities.
  • Shall distribute T-shirts, membership cards, stickers, and other items to members.
